Marisa Laureni
Founder, Executive Director

Marisa is the Founder and Executive Director of Romela Productions, overseeing a team of planners whose dedication to their work and boundless creativity makes her job extremely enjoyable. Marisa has over 15 years of experience in the corporate event industry on a global scale. She has worked with well-known and respected brands as well as small, local nonprofits whose missions are very close to my heart. Her work ethic is grounded in building relationships and trust with the people I work with and for, taking seriously the care and attention to detail that our profession requires, while always maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to any situation.

 

Nell Conway
Director of Experience

Nell graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Dance + Arts Management. While in school, Nell secured the position of Member Events Coordinator for the Richmond Country Club, at the age of 19. From there she excelled in the restaurant and hospitality industry ending in 2018 with her role as General Manager of a high-end restaurant that hosted numerous business and personal events. It was then that she had the opportunity to join the team at Romela Productions.

In her role as Director of Experience, Nell call’s upon my choreography background as a trained dancer-turned-producer to bring our client’s dream event to life. By the time the guests flow in, every element’s in place, the team members all know their roles, she’s planned for contingencies and is ready to delight, inspire and engage the audience. Her enthusiasm and creativity shape her ability to work with people and produce remarkable events.

 

Nicole Neukum
Senior Production Manager

Nicole joined Romela as our Events Production Manager in 2022 with her degree in Business Administration. Soon after obtaining her degree she landed at CA Technologies as the Sr. Event Coordinator for their Global Executive Briefing Center where she managed events, both large and small, for executives from the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world. Nicole’s success in client event coordination quickly led to her becoming a key player in CA’s large scale customer events held in Las Vegas, San Francisco and Miami where upwards of a 7,000+ people were in attendance.

Outside of work, Nicole’s passions include spending time with her soon to be husband, their 2 dogs and any type of outdoor activities that you dream up. She’s a frequent traveler who is always hunting for the next adventure. Nicole’s experience in building and maintaining quality relationships and creating unique, memorable moments greatly aligns with our mission here at Romela Productions.

 

Samm Eichmann
Senior Production Manager

Samm is an expert in event planning, management, and execution. She has a true love for hospitality, all things events, and has enjoyed working closely with her clients over the last decade.  

Prior to joining the Romela team, Samm served as a Project Manager for Wedgwood Communications. Samm’s passion for events was solidified during her time as a Project Coordinator for Kalman Worldwide, where she assisted in the planning, marketing and event coordination for international trade shows in the European and South Asian aerospace and defense market. Before her time at Kallman, Samm worked as an Events Fundraising Manager for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, where she managed two important peer-to-peer fundraising programs: Team Challenge and spin4.

Samm graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a BA in Global Communication and Media. In her free time, Samm enjoys cooking and baking, surfing with her partner Harrison, and hiking with her mutt Roxie.

Briana Brown
Stage Manager

Bri joined the Romela team in 2018 while pursuing her Masters in Social Work and working events for a high-volume, Brooklyn venue. Romela Production’s commitment to transparency and mission-driven organizations greatly aligned with Bri’s personal values and work ethic. Over the past decade, Bri’s experience in hospitality and as a community organizer has deepened her passion for building relationships and developed her genuine client-focused approach to event production.

Bri’s unique career trajectory has given her the opportunity to work with diverse clients and communities, fostering her skillsets in creative problem-solving and her keen attention to detail. Bri’s dedication for community building and bringing people together drives her ability to ensure a memorable event experience and client satisfaction.
